STEM Core Summer Bridge Coordinator

Ivanna Abreu considers herself a champion for STEM student success and equipping underrepresented students with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in an ever-evolving market. As a graduate of the Higher Education Administration program at Syracuse University, she has had extensive experience in advising and programming in both multicultural affairs and academic affairs units. Prior to joining Growth Sector, Ivanna was the coordinator and academic advisor for the Meyerhoff Scholars Program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. During her tenure, Ivanna saw first-hand the transformative impact of their nationally recognized STEM Summer Bridge Program which prepares students for the rigor of STEM research. As the Growth Sector Summer Bridge coordinator Ivanna oversees the logistics and implementation of the STEM Core Summer Bridge Programs at partner educational institutions. Ivanna works with educational and industry partners to provide students with a curriculum and activities that aid in their transition to the STEM Core. A New York native currently residing in Baltimore, MD, Ivanna enjoys exploring Baltimore and the DMV area.
